I don't think I would have recommended black and white, but seeing it, it looks really good and maybe even more interesting than in colour in some ways.
I was even originally thinking of just doing black and white, no grey but I think the grey tones will work and will still count (for printing costs) as b+w. I just have to limit the shades or things will look like mud.
in the past, we could only use 16 shades of grey in printing... maybe that's a good safe number of greys to work with? It's true that too much tonality can get muddy when printed!
