EDIT: There. After some messing about with color in the first page, size of character in third and overall size of images in the fourth (as well as the addition of one final little detail) the quartet seems to work a lot better. For me, this is the benefit of working with backgrounds and foregrounds on different sheets and levels. I can keep messing about with the composition. Some might say that I could work it out properly in the first place but sometimes things occur to me later on that would enhance the story or storytelling and to fix the image would require an entire redraw otherwise.
