A little bit more done before work. Got one more character inked, another penciled, but now it's time to go sell things. Ah, well.

Not much to show but as it's the last day of the month, I wanted to have something in this blog. Starting page 156. There will be five figures total as Silas 'dances' with himself over two different attitudes towards what he's doing or wants to do. As it stands now, there's one more verse in the quieter side's track so he will get to go next. This page marks a kind of milestone: Tamino ended on page 156 and is still the longest, to date, comic I've completed. We're not quite half way with City Silent and have reached the same page. It's going to take a lot more to get this one done than that, and that comic took long enough. Still moving forward.

Somehow managed to get a page out today while also squeezing in a trip to the record store, washing some stuff from the bathroom, playing zelda and listening to said records. I wish every day could be like this.

Finished the page tonight. It came together relatively quickly, though the lettering, as always, was tough. Many different versions were made. That being said, once the different elements were laid out, the color selection came on fast. Glad I got one done. It's been too long. May well try and start the next page tomorrow.

Progress! Had some time before work and finally just missed doing my comic enough that I dove in and started page 154. It will be an easy one, mostly text and background elements. Thinking that this might make an interesting t-shirt if I played around with the design a bit. Small steps.

I haven't posted anything in almost a month mostly because I haven't arted in a month. Work's been sapping my strength, there's a new Zelda game, my sister came to visit for a week (which was very nice) and I just haven't had the spark. It happens sometimes. Generally, I don't fight it. All it does is make me unhappy when I do. Still, I'm SO close to finishing the first half of this monster comic, it does bother me when there's no forward motion at all. I did have an idea, a concept I wanted to try so today, before heading out, I did a quick and dirty. I've used some of my own photos, dumbed way down, for backgrounds, mostly in Digby's section. What if I reversed that and used my posed photos, dumbed down, adding just the head and feet of Silas? Threw this together VERY quickly but you know what? I think it works fine. It has some of the feeling of the photocopied ads I did for Zippa's chapter and, with the usual graffiti in the background, especially since I'm doing a duet and need to differentiate the characters as much as possible, I think I will give it a go. I'm hoping this doesn't mean I have to go back and redo pages, but if needs be, needs be. So yes, I'm still here.
