Voiceover. Yah, just what I needed, another distraction. If only there wasn't this day job. And if I was only 20 years younger or so.

Still nothing much to see. With all I have to do, I’m actually wasting time playing a video game. Feh. I know better, but it’s often years between games that really interest me. Sometimes too much to do is worse than too little. So I doodled these guys today. Still working out the bugs. The Hirschfeld documentary had me thinking about adding texture, something I don’t do much at all and the crowquill just screams for it. Feet are all wrong, as are the hands. Still, it’s a process.

Did these two both today and they couldn't be more different. The first is 36x36 on brown paper, the other is 9x12 on illustration board. I was in the mood to paint from having watched a documentary on Basquiat called, "The Radiant Child," which I highly recommend. I later watched another great documentary on Hirschfeld called, "The Line King." There was inspiration to be had from both. I can't recommend watching stuff like this enough. It always lights my fires.

Another page of the kids story, slightly out of order. I want to vary the composition of the pages a bit more but the errands are somewhat similar. Stuff to work out.

One last promo piece for "Delve Deep." I really need to start MAKING this comic. I have plotted out the first episode now I have to thumbnail and color-key it (something I haven't done before). LOTS of drawing on this. I expect this to be the most drawing intensive thing I've ever done simply because it takes time to get my head in the right place. This simple drawing took three thumbnails before the final pose. Animators make it look so easy...

Another one down before work. Lots of blue, which I love.

Managed to get another one done before heading off to the day job. Probably the easiest page to draw in the whole comic.

First, another re-drawn Fite page. I've fallen behind on these but I'm still going to get the first 30 re-drawn and then perhaps I'll re-release the whole thing as an epub edition. Second was just a quick sketch inspired by a photo and the work of Egon Schiele. As a lion. For no reason.
