Did these two both today and they couldn't be more different. The first is 36x36 on brown paper, the other is 9x12 on illustration board. I was in the mood to paint from having watched a documentary on Basquiat called, "The Radiant Child," which I highly recommend. I later watched another great documentary on Hirschfeld called, "The Line King." There was inspiration to be had from both. I can't recommend watching stuff like this enough. It always lights my fires.

The brown image looks almost 3 dimensional to me! The red looks angry of course.. I don't think many would guess the same person could make two portraits so different in one week, never mind a day!

Thanks! The red one is that scowl artists seem to get when they're staring at their own faces and concentrating. I might have emphasized it a little as I found it funny.
