Working on the new page. Here are the characters so far. Will likely warp the top two as I did the lower one to make things match. This was the easy part. The graffiti to come will be the hard part.

 Finally found time to finish this page. Most of the final work was coloring, tweaking and making the graffiti in the background. The top piece, which can't be read is my old high school tag, "The Black Graphite." Our graffiti was not at all like what's in this or what most people think of as graffiti. It was more like message board trolling but done on bathroom walls in the early 80s. The second says "Basher," which is the orc character I play at the ren faire. And last is "Kamen," one of my oldest alter egos. 

Tried to convey movement and abstraction while giving that pause between verse and refrain. I think it works well enough and the guys, as usual were fun to draw.

 More progress today. Got all three Rooster drawings done, rather quickly, too. Started working on the graffiti for the background and it, too came along rather easily which is good. Now I'm starting to work with the elements and colors a little bit, trying to get away from that dull orange which, while correct for the night feeling of city life, is too dull for this chapter and the mice. There's some annoying banding in the gradient which sucks, but there are lots of adjustments to do. So, steps forward.

 Coming along. Had to resize Smatt to make room for Terry. Will have to resize them both to make room for Rooster. That being said, I like how this is working out, so will keep going with it. 1,000 little decisions...

 Finally seem to have broken the block that was keeping me from working on the next page of the comic. This is one that's going to come together one piece at a time. I posed for reference over a week ago but the initial drawings felt stiff and uninspiring. So I played video games instead. Today, after looking through Instagram, something must have clicked because here we are. I have a vague idea of where this is going. It's the next page, with its supposedly impressive graffiti that is going to be a pain. Well, progress is progress.
