Did some more work on this; added the title, lightened the lines on the earlier figures to help suggest the passage of time, added shadows to the latest to help underline his position in time, edited the trees (sometimes nature's wrong). This is better. Now for page 2 because I do these things in such a bad order.

coming along! the only cit i might make is the planting the pole version might be a little too clear to make the distinction between it and the next, final version. I think a little less clear and it would make the time passing effect stronger. IMO of course!
