Again, more play. This time, it's just me. I think there's still likeness in simplicity. It's not exactly my nose but it's still me in there. Again, just some fun.
Funny I an not sure where the likeness is, but when I saw it I thought it was of you immediately. Some things can be super detailed and precise and not have much resemblance and other, like this can somehow get that likeness across in a way you can't pin down.
I agree and it's a tough line sometimes. I usually can manage it with self portraits but when I take it to other people, it's much harder to do and I don't think I always or even often make it.
Some of it might be just perception k the portrait might look just like the subject but we see them differently. I often find doing photo portraits of long time friends that they look different from how I see them when think about them. I think personally that I see people sort of how they looked when I first met them and I get surprised when 40 years later they have grey hair!
