I don't usually post photos here, but we have a rare occurrence of the Northern Lights here. To be fair, I can't see them much with my own eyes, but my camera can see them pretty well. My phone's camera, that is. Damned amazing things, these phones...

I've seen northern lights three times now. These were the weakest. All three times I was in Michigan. The best was about 20 years ago about an hour north of where we are now and they were utterly stunning. Still, any chance I get, I'll look, even if I can only see them with my camera.
I have never seen them but is on my bucket list. I should be able to visit the inlaws, they are 6 hours north and the sky is much more visible there. So maybe I can work that out some day.
