I don't usually post photos here, but we have a rare occurrence of the Northern Lights here. To be fair, I can't see them much with my own eyes, but my camera can see them pretty well. My phone's camera, that is. Damned amazing things, these phones...

So glad you posted these! I am jealous, I didn't look but I don't tink we saw anything in the city. I was wondering how much we could could see with our eyes and you answered that... not much! A friend went to Greenland in the middle of nowhere to see the northern lights unhindered by artificial lights and unobstructed and he said it was not like photos, it was like the air was full of glowing particles and the colours were impossible to describe. .
