Inktober day 29.Silas and the city. Did this all at once, no ref for the figure, used a photo of Boston for the brownstones though I changed a lot. The graffiti is one half of a stanza from one of the songs. Once I color this, I think it represents the final piece of what I was looking for if I do the whole comic. That being said, it's not THAT different from Tamino but enough so that I needed to find what I wanted. Pencil, pen and ink. Could be less messy.

I tried to do an ink on paper this month. I started one but it's still an uncompleted sketch at the moment. I have to draw on paper a couple times a year at least. Maybe inktober just means I do an ink drawing in a year that has the month of October in it? :)

I think it means whatever you want it to mean. The drawing above only took me maybe a couple hours tops. I'm trying not to rely too much on reference. Oh, I want it there to get little details right but I purposefully don't want things to line up which makes it easier. Your style is a lot more meticulous and therefore takes a lot more time. Still, I think having that artifact makes a difference and you do great ink work.
