Had time I wasn't expecting tonight so did another quick sketch/portrait. This time, it's Neil Gaiman, done from one of his publicity photos as I don't have any of my own. Interesting to me is how this brush makes things look just a little out of focus. I can't tell if I should spend more time or less time doing these. This one, too was done with a bit of whiskey. :"D

This does look blurry... it works really well on Warhol but less on Gaiman to me. Not sure why exactly. Maybe that brush is designed for smaller strokes? They eyes look pretty intense!
I think it's meant for larger strokes which you're then supposed to detail with a smaller brush. That being said, I kind of like its fuzziness. Funny how the eyes are intense; I did the least with them. Maybe its their high contrast.
